Muse

Last night was totally awesome. I got to do something i haven't done in a very very very long time...like 4 years long time. Some of you may think it's silly but I got to go to a concert. And for the VERY first time ever i got to be down on the floor for the concert. I guess when you go see smaller bands you're on the floor but this is muse we are talking about. I remember going to see the used way back when and just looking at the people down in GA on the floor and just being green with envy. So when the muse tickets went on sale back in April and i had gotten the okay from the hubs to even be able to go see this concert i patiently waited for them to go on sale and then i sat and thought...hmmmm we're going to do this the right way (it's been a really really long time since hubs has been to a concert...they aren't really his thing) so i got GA tickets. We got to be on the floor. for MUSE.

Here's a little side bit about hubs and I. When we are going to a big thing and we don't really know 100% all the details of everything we get a bit stressed. Add a ton of people to the mix and we get even more stressed. So doing things like this are always exciting haha.

Anywho. My mom came down and spent the night to watch the kiddos for us. We took the frontrunner train to downtown which was awesome. Unfortunately for me i made a poor choice of shoes...these boots totally owned my pinky toes and i have zero skin left from all the walking :(, but that's okay. When we got to the ESA (delta center) there was a big ol line that wrapped up and down the stairs for GA while everyone else who had seats just got to go in...that didn't make sense to us really at all since once we got in we could "supposedly" go to any portal and they'd take us to the floor to get a wristband. Well after we had walked around the whole place we finally were told the correct place to go and down we went, (after getting some pretzel bites and a soda....we got robbed haha oh well that was expected..and by robbed i mean they were both way overpriced).

A very interesting girl came up to hubs and i and asked if anyone had played yet...that's because the tickets said show started at 7 but they actually didn't start until 8. So hubs being the smart ass that he is tells her yeah muse already played...you could see the brief moment of panic on her face so i assured her that he was kidding and no one had played yet and she just kinda laughed and moved away. She then ended up next to us again for a while and was dancing like she was way to cool for school. Entertaining.

While cage the elephant played (they were alright...) we thoroughly enjoyed watching these 3 drunken fellows...i almost think they were maybe high as well dancing around and just being soooo into cage the elephant. Before muse had even started playing they had been escorted away...i mean they probably didn't even know where they were...

The singer for cage the elephant was alllll over the place. He was dancing like nobody was watching him haha pretty interesting.

Once they finished up they cleared their stuff off the stage and muse set up. To say i was excited would be an understatement. They opened with a song that prior to the concert i was like this song would be perfect for them to open with...and then they did and it was awesome. They had this tower thing that moved up and down that projected pictures and was just soooo cool. They rocked out so hard and it was so fun to be down on the floor. The music was amazing. The singer can really really sing and they sound just as good if not better live than they do on their records. I think i enjoyed it so much because i could tell that they were just loving what they do and that translated to an awesome show. There were quite a few times where I'm sure i was just smiling like a goof. They also faked us out and we thought they were done playing because they had brought the tower down and everything went dark...but then they played unsustainable which me and emery really love to listen to really loud in the car without baby b. It was really cool to watch them play that song because it's more industrial so it was fun to see how they did that live. The singer also plays the piano and this piano was way cool. It was a grand piano and the bottom of the top...that makes sense i promise lit up when he played...The bass player's instruments all had lights on them. So after that song they played a few more. Justin told me to lift my foot 2 inches off the ground...i could feel the music and the floor and just everything pulsing into my foot. They ended their set with uprising. And this was totally perfect...there were some booms where my whole body was just like...wow.

We then left and i thought i was going to die from my toes....so sad i'm telling you. We got back onto frontrunner at 11:50 and got home around 12:40ish.

I've missed concerts...it's something i need to do more of. Haha..now daft punk needs to come to town...hey a girl can dream right???
