Potty Training update Day 2

Well today consisted of a lot more accidents *YAY*...no sarcasm there seriously. It means i didn't have to worry about her geting a uti or something from holding her pee in for so long, AND lots more of learning experiences of rushing her to the potty and getting some pee even if it's hardly any at all in the toilet. There was one time right after she had had a tiny little accident that i had her sit on the toilet (i always have her sit on the toilet even if we didn't make it to the toilet on time after an accident) and we were talking about the feeling she gets right before she goes pee and then lets it out and then BAM flood gates opened and she peed sooooo much in the toilet and we rejoiced! She was thrilled and i was thrilled and we were just a great ball of thrilled. So day 2 has had lots of accidents she still won't sit on the toilet just randomly which is ok because with the method that we are using the lady says to not just have your kid sit on the toilet and try and also not to force them to sit on the toilet. I'll gladly take both of those :P makes for a more pleasant experience. She hasn't had accidents during nap time though which really kind of surprises me, and she only had one accident during the night last night at about 2:30 in the morning. So that's been super good and hopefully will stay super good...tonight might be a different story but we shall see! Things are comming along and although i feel this might take more than the 3 days for it to click in her head im totally fine with it. It's been a much more positive and laid back experience for the both of us because i'm not trying to push her to do something she doesn't want to do constantly all day long. Just letting nature take it's course really. So yes it might take a bit longer than i'd like it too but at least neither of us is going insane and after tomorrow we'll go back out into the real world (we haven't left our house since sunday night) since tomorrow will be day 3 of the training. Thursday will be interesting to see if it's clicking or if we still need to be glued to each other either way it's all good. Justin is making her a potty stick right now since she tells us she is scared to let her pee out in the toilet...maybe this will help her feel brave. The potty fairy will leave it by the door tomorrow for her to find and we'll tell her that it makes it all ok and that there is no reason to be scared of the toilet.

Yay potty training!
