The weekend

This last weekend was full of Christmas fun! Friday night we went to the ward Christmas party with my mom. There was lots of yummy food and treats. We made the excellent choice of sitting by the desert table..mmmmm delicious. Then they had a little program with the primary kids singing and that was cute. My mom conducted. That's her favorite church calling. Then SANTA!!! Oh man, Emery Claire was so dang excited. So we got in line, we were up at the front thank goodness or it would have taken way way long. She was excited but then as we started getting closer she got a bit nervous. She kept asking me to go up with her but i kept telling her that i needed to take her picture and then i would go up with her. It was finally her turn and she did great! She told him that she wanted her beloved vanity and he told her she would get it...which she will.

Then we left the party and went down to Thanksgiving Point to drive through their lights. Emery got up in the front seat and we turned the station to christmas music. Brantly was passed out haha not much of a surprise. Emery had a blast though. It's fun too since my car has a sunroof we could watch the ones that went over the tops of the cars. She says her favorite lights were the silly ones...no idea which ones that means but hey thats all good. Then after that was done we went and saw the reindeer after which she threw a huge fit because she didn't want to leave them and it was really really late. 

Saturday Justin went hunting and i just hung out with the kids for a bit. Then we headed down to Grandma and Grandpa smith's where they were nice enough to let Justin and I go out on a bit of a date. We went to the outlets at traverse mountain and did just a little bit of Christmas shopping since we're mostly done i think. It was fun to just be carefree and kid free haha. I enjoy our alone time we have good talks. 

Sunday we just were bums which is always nice to do on the weekend. In the evening we went to dinner with my dad and rhonda and watched dexter at their house. It's been so nice to see them every sunday they are awesome. 

All in all what a great weekend!
